Come get colorful with Mrs. Jen and discover the magic of oil pastels!

In this hands-on Art Exploration class, artists will learn how to use oil pastels to create vibrant color, texture, depth, and dimension. Mrs. Jen will introduce the basics of working with oil pastels and heavy art paper, then guide artists through techniques like layering, blending, shading, highlighting, gradients, and color mixing.

We'll experiment with simple tools and techniques, using fingers, cotton swabs, and paper towels to blend colors and toothpicks to scratch through layers and create texture and detail.

Whether you've never touched an oil pastel before or already love making art, this class is all about exploring the medium, trying new techniques, and discovering what you can create.
