Anime Club

A place to watch anime, read manga, talk about what you love, and hang out with people who get it.

Led by Toby and Colin, with Geoff overseeing the club, Anime Club is built around community, conversation, and shared interests.

On a typical night, we’ll start with a casual meet & greet, then watch a few episodes together and talk about what we just saw. Expect pauses for “wait, go back,” strong opinions, and the occasional deep dive into why that scene hit the way it did.

​

We rotate through different series and topics so there’s always something new, from classics to current shows to whatever someone can’t stop thinking about that week. Outside of regular meetups, we’re planning special fun events like closet cosplay nights, game nights, Gunpla builds, manga hangouts, and cosplay workshops.

Most nights are simple and relaxed though, watching anime, flipping through manga, talking about it, and connecting in a relaxed, welcoming space.

​

We also keep the conversation going on Discord. You’ll find channels to request shows, share recommendations, and talk between meetups, plus a space to check in about content. We post what we’re planning to watch ahead of time and include content notes when needed, so you can make the choices that are right for you.

​

You’ll be hanging out at long tables perfect for building kits, sketching ideas, reading, or passing snacks back and forth while arguing about favorite arcs and character choices.

​

Kestrel Cafe is filled with local artists, so it feels like hanging out in a cozy artist alley while you’re here.

Come as you are. Stay as long as you like. Whether you want to jump into the conversation or just sit back and watch or read, you’re welcome here.
