Art Therapy Coaching
Art Therapy Coaching is the bridge between pain and treatment. Sometimes an experience feels too big, too tender, or too tangled for words. You may be processing grief, stress, or a difficult situation at work, home, or school, or simply feeling unsure of what comes next. At Kestrel Cafe, our Certified Art Therapy Coach offers a calm, supportive space to sit and create together. Using accessible art mediums such as coloring, sketching, painting, crochet, or hand sewing, the focus is on expression, grounding, and regulation, not artistic skill or outcome. No art experience is required. Art Therapy Coaching is not psychotherapy, counseling, or clinical treatment. It is a supportive, creative process that helps individuals explore what they are feeling and identify next steps. This work is meant to support emotional regulation, not diagnosis or treatment. When appropriate, coaching may include connecting participants with community resources or professional supports. Safety and wellness are always the priority. Art Therapy Coaching exists to hold space and offer grounding during difficult moments. Art Therapy Coaches are mandated reporters. If a participant indicates they may be a danger to themselves or others, or shares information that requires intervention to protect safety, the coach is required to take appropriate action. This may include contacting emergency services or connecting the participant with crisis or community support resources.

Your Art Therapy Coach acts as a copilot as you process, offering gentle guidance and reflection when the path forward feels unclear.
